We always have a lot of people giving.

My cousin was a hemaphilac (sp?), and needed blood many times in his life. But it's also what killed him. He got a blood tranfusion when he was very young in 1982, before they did HIV testing on blood. He contracted HIV, and later AIDS, and died at the age of 15. When he needed blood someone in my family would give to him (I had the same blood type), and was allowed because I was a family member to give, so I started pretty young, and I've never stopped.Lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03200720166892342059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1328214691677556425.post-13277141067573330952009-12-03T15:08:43.279-05:002009-12-03T15:08:43.279-05:00Not to mention the weight you lose when you shuck ...Not to mention the weight you lose when you shuck that whole pint of blood...J.K. ;)

It's been so long since I've given blood. It seems every time I consider it, I'm either sick or on the verge of getting sick. I have no problem with giving blood. The needle doesn't hurt and I'm always fine afterward. It's easy. It's also easy to forget.

Thanks for the reminder!Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15476636154469326229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1328214691677556425.post-44117387020826691392009-12-03T15:00:35.457-05:002009-12-03T15:00:35.457-05:00Oh, and P.S. - donating blood is the equivalent of...Oh, and P.S. - donating blood is the equivalent of burning 650 calories.Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04248351772305460335noreply@blogger.com
