~2 Corinthians 4:16
Ironically, I was going to post this last week, but I was too sick to get off of my couch, but better late than never. These are the vitamins I take everyday. They don't upset my stomach, don't cost a fortune, and don't taste too bad on the way down. I first bought them because of their high vitamin B levels, and I really do feel better when I take these on a regular basis. A few days ago, I was reading the box and realized that they also contain Ginseng, which has "naturally occurring ginsenosides and flavonoids, bioactive factors that play a role in well-being." No wonder I felt better.
Sadly, taking these vitamins everyday is about the only thing I make sure to do for myself every day (unless you count drinking coffee - which is full of antioxidants). Even on days when Alex is in school, I don't make time to exercise, fix myself a nice lunch, study my Bible or even rest! Are any of you successful at taking care of yourself? Do you have any tips for those of us who aren't? What do you do to renew yourself daily? I'd love to hear about it!

The only thing that helps me exercise is remembering my psychotic tendencies when I don't exercise. And the family weight-loss challenge helps, too. :)
Yeah - some days there isn't enough ginseng in these vitamins! Exercise really does help, but I just need to make myself do it. So, who's wining your challenge so far?
Just remembering to drink more water every day is a challenge for me. I'm pretty sure I'm dehydrated most of the time.
I try to eat when the kids eat, including healthy snacks, which means several times more often than I normally would.
It's no wonder I always felt so great when I was pregnant - I take really good care of myself when I'm pregnant. I eat better, take vitamins, drink more water, less coffee, and go for daily walks. Now if I could just apply those things to my normal life...
Pam, Terri won the last challenge. We're just a week into the new one.
Pam, I can totally relate. Some days I do not even get a shower. I really need to remember to take my vitamins regularly. Although, I have stayed well while my whole family was very sick. I think it was all the years I taught school that helped me build up my immune system.
I do workout 2-3 times a week, but my kids go to preschool at the YMCA so it is more convenient than going home.
Like Donna, my New Year's Resolution is to drink more water. It makes your skin look better, it helps your brain work better, and it makes you feel more energized. I really NEED all of those things! Bottoms Up! (It's actually really hard for me because I don't really drink much liquid, and my liquids of choice are coffee and diet coke.)
Karly and Donna - drinking water is a great way to start. I've heard a statistic before about how important water is, and if our bodies don't have enough it can affect many things including our memory. Of course, I haven't been drinking enough either, so I can't recall all of the facts :).
Ditto the other ladies. Drink more water and force yourself to get some kind of exercise, even if it's just a simple walk outside. When I do those things I feel better. I will be really "good" for awhile then life gets busy and I realize I haven't done anything for myself in awhile and I start up again. Sorry I don't have much advice on how to be consistent.
Lindsay - I have been forcing myself to do some exercise each day, and you are my inspiration!! I loved hearing about your couch to 5K running program and watching you get stronger and stronger! Thanks for sharing :)
